A "once a month" chore??

If you look up the word "chore" you'll find a few definitions, one of which being "Daily or routine domestic tasks". Apparently I fail at chores as defined. Whether you choose the "daily" or the "routine" portion of that definition, I fail. Don't get me wrong, we don't live in filth. We just live in... well... as Cher from "Clueless" once described it: a full on Monet - It's like a painting, see? From far away, it's OK, but up close, it's a big old mess.
Clueless
(1995 - Pretty sure I watched Clueless weekly... more often than I do laundry)
My real challenge is laundry. I don't know which is sadder, the fact that I probably do laundry once a month, or that we have enough clothing to survive a month without doing laundry. And it isn't even that the act of doing laundry is all that difficult. I've been blessed to only live in places with laundry facilities - even when I lived in NYC the laundry room was on my floor. Didn't make a darn difference. In our current apartment the laundry is in the basement. Physically, it's actually closer than the laundry room was from my bedroom in my parent's house while I was growing up. Yet, I have in fact texted my landlord to say "Um, can I please use your washer and dryer today as well as mine... we have, like, 9 loads of laundry". Can you imagine if I had to go to the laundry mat? I swear underwear would become a disposable item.
